In addition to its other activities, the Carmelite Institute maintains a database of Carmelite scholars, retreat directors, and resource personnel, and it pursues contacts with other individuals and institutes sharing similar interests. The Institute has a growing presence on the web
(www.carmeliteinstitute.org) and has collaborated in various ways with the lay and secular Carmelites. It has produced materials for a weekend program, Walking the Carmelite Path, which introduces the Carmelite tradition to parishes and other groups. At times it has distributed translations of hard-to-find Carmelite classics and is currently working on a program to assist Carmelite formators. The Carmelite Institute continues to look for additional ways to pursue its mission, insofar as its resources allow.
